Mindset.
We all have bad days, if someone tells you they don't they are lying to you. My way of combating bad days, people, and bad attitudes, is my optimism. I always look for a bright side in situations, and I look until I find one. There ALWAYS is one, even if it takes a while to find it.
Your own mind is your worst enemy sometimes. A simple (or maybe not so simple) change of outlook has the ability to re-direct your entire day, week, month, and even life. Now, I won't lie to you. This mindset change didn't just happen overnight, but I do know that it is what helps me get through my days smoother and even more importantly, happily.
Making the conscious effort to be more positive with your thoughts and your words will seriously change your life. Eventually, it will be second nature to you and you'll wonder why you didn't start being more positive sooner.
So, without further ado, here are 3 inspirational quotes to help you through your tough times. (I'm saving my favorite for last, so be sure to read till the end (; )
1. "If you stumble, make it part of the dance."
When I came across this saying, I instantly loved it (maybe it's because I'm a dancer, but whatever). Life isn't easy, and sometimes we stumble or make mistakes. But that doesn't mean it's the end of the world. Every trial and tribulation we go through just builds upon the foundation of who we are. Learn from it and use it to your advantage. There is always a bright side.
2. "At the end of the day, you can focus on what's tearing you apart, or you can focus on what's keeping you together."
Another new favorite of mine. If you can't tell, my favorite thing is thinking positively. Every day when I wake up, I try to remind myself of all the things I have to be thankful for. I know that whatever I'm going through, could be a lot worse. And while I know that I am definitely justified in having sad feelings, as is everyone, reminding myself of the positives is what always helps me.
3. "When it rains, look for rainbows. When it's dark, look for stars."
MY FAVORITE<3 If i wasn't so scared of tattoo's and this wasn't so long, I would want this on my body. Anytime I read this I am instantly reminded to look on the positive side. I lost my step-mom 6 years ago this December. She was my best friend. And while that was an extremely hard time for me and my family, I was able to find a bright side (crazy, right?). Losing her made me realize just how much I appreciated everyone in my life. Losing her is what made me make the switch to positivity and love. And while I would do just about anything to have her back here, I can tell you that I would not be who I am today without losing her. Every piece of life is stepping stone, a building brick to who YOU are. Make the best of it all.
Everyone has struggles, hard times, sadness, and days that are just flat out annoying for no other reason than just "because". But I am here to tell you/remind you that this life is yours and you should grab it and use it to your advantage. Smile more, laugh more, tell the people you care about that you love them as often as you can. Remember that there are so many things out there to be thankful for and to smile about. Use your time here to make a difference in your life/experience as well as others.
